Entrepreneurship

Section one of this book aims to give the new entrepreneur a perspective on entrepreneurship. The book places entrepreneurship within the new economy. It focuses on creative leadership as a vehicle for successful entrepreneurship. It places the entrepreneur in the knowledge economy, which is a sub-section of the economic environment, and illustrates the entrepreneur as a knowledge worker in that economic system. Various business forms are available from which the entrepreneur can select the most suitable business form for the new business venture. Section two of the book is an orientation of the basic management functions the entrepreneur should take cognisance of in the process of establishing the new venture. Specific attention is given to the elements of management and the sub-elements of management. Section three of the book points to critical issues the entrepreneur must keep in mind to enable successful placement of the new venture. The section completes the entrepreneurial road and culminates in the ability to draft a practical business plan that can be utilised for various purposes. Section four of this book highlights entrepreneurship in the broader economic perspective.
