ENTOMOGENOUS FUNGI

A K Pandey and Indu Varshneya present their extensive work on native and exotic strains of Entomopathogenic Fungi through texts, photographs and statistical tables. This includes: Host specificity of Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae against different insect species like Spodoptera litura (Fabricius), Spilosoma obliqua (Walker), Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner), Ergolish species and Lipaphis erysimi (Kalt.); Effect of temperature on insecticidal property of B. bassiana and M. anisopliae; Mass multiplication of Entomopathogenic Fungi and their pathogenicity test; Entomopathogenic fungal formulation with different carriers and viability of spore under storage at different temperatures; Effects of different pesticides on growth, sporulation and germination of conidia of B. bassiana and M. anisopliae.
