The effect of using innovative teaching tools and strategies such as using Communicative Language Teaching (CLT ) with semantic map, retelling stories with big books,using puppet during dialogues or conversation and playing educational game (intellihenyo) to enhance pupils¿ speaking ability were investigated. The data collection tools that I chose to record the effectiveness of my teaching strategies were my personal observations, pupils¿ questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews . Audio and video recording were done to document all the activities during the conduct of the study.
