Enhanced Fe(VI) Electrochemical Energy Storage

Global battery demand continues to grow along the rapid advancements in the development and miniaturization of electronic devices. Super-iron batteries consist of highly energetic iron compounds in an unusually high valence state, Fe(VI), which may be used to replace existing cathode technologies. This book provides thorough and insightful examination on advances in the field of Fe(VI) energetics. It describes the studies that facilitated the development of a novel synthetic paradigm towards the production of pure barium ferrate, later to be assembled in high discharge capacity lithium and alkaline primary batteries.
