Engineered Perovskite Nanomaterials for Ferroelectric Applications

The book covers the fundamental concept of nanomaterials followed by the development of a versatile synthetic methodology which can be used for the synthesis of nanocrystalline ceramic powders of verity of metal oxide systems. Substitutions of different suitable metal ions at both A and B sites in ABO3 type nanocrystalline lead-free perovskite materials improve the polarization of the materials and result in diffuse phase transitions.These are useful properties for room temperature and wide temperature-range ferroelectric applications. Nanosized oxides particles helped to achieve better compacted materials after sintering, resulting in materials with high dielectric constant and low losses that were attractive for a host of different ferroelectric applications. The books also attempts to provide the information of rigorous materials characterization along with detailed study of their electrical properties like dielectric constant, dielectric loss, ferroelectricity, impedance spectroscopy analysis, and conductivity (AC & DC) studies measured at various temperature and frequency.
