Energy Storage Technologies

Energy storage is the capture of energy produced at one time for use at a later time. A device that stores energy is generally called an accumulator or battery. Energy storage involves converting energy from forms that are difficult to store to more conveniently or economically forms. Wide variety of energy storage options are available, and can play an important role in shaping world electricity future. The present book highlights some important potentials introduced by modern energy storage technologies, and reflects on their applications and use in world electricity industry. Also, various different types of energy storage technologies and applications are presented here. Comparisons of these technologies are described in this work.
