Energy Retrofit and Occupant Behaviour in Listed Housing

Energy efficiency and building conservation are both key aspects of sustainability. Increasingly, the concern is not only to achieve good levels of energy efficiency by improving the fabric and the system of historic homes, but also to create a comfortable and healthy environment and ensure that householders achieve affordable warmth. The energy retrofit of listed housing in relation to occupant behaviour is a pressing issue. The emphasis of this book is on occupant behaviour and developing retrofit strategies.
