Energy Requirements for Rapeseed Biodiesel Production

The energy efficiency of rapeseed biofuel production is analyzed for conventional cultivating applications. The biodiesel has gained acceptance in the marketplace in the past few years has been exceeded only by the proliferation of biodiesel production facilities around the world only to confront new social and environmental challenges and criticisms. In order for a fuel to be used as an energy source, indirect and direct energies used in its production must be taken into account. In this book, the energy input and output for winter rapeseed cultivation and biodiesel production from rapeseed oil are evaluated.
