The most important objective of any industry is to maximize its profits. The profits can be maximized by two ways, either increase the revenues or minimize the cost. Energy audits follow the latter approach. Energy conservation has become very important in the present days due to the sky rocketing fuel prices and the harmful effects of burning fuel on the environment. This report includes Identification of energy inputs, systems that are utilizing energy, and a preliminary survey for a Aluminium foundry. Methods about the Identification the areas where energy could be conserved are also discussed. Energy conservation and rate of return calculations for Aluminum foundries, compressor shop, power house, and lighting are shown in this report.
