Energy as a clash point of interests between Turkey and Iran

In today¿s shifting world order, growing demands for energy resources compel nation-states to undertake significant steps regarding how to preserve energy security within the policy circle. It is undeniable fact that the maintenance of energy security is one of the pivotal interests of states in the contemporary world. Energy security is based on the national security of nation states. Today, energy is significant to the process of both economic and social development in each state in terms of its direct use and in the distribution of the profits from its export. Like other countries, the major regional powers Turkey and Iran also strive to attain their goals regarding access to alternative energy resources, maintenance of energy security, gaining authoritative power over grand energy projects and etc. Within the last decades, the relationship between the two states has waxed and waned regarding different kind of issues. From this point of view, the geo-strategic confrontation between the two not only does define the energy as a key factor but also enhance their interests to set up newly geopolitical goals and paths towards other regions.
