Empirical Research In Finance

The idea of this book came from a faculty development program we conducted in 2015 in Calcutta Business School on Empirical Research in Finance. The plan was to present before the participants various tools and techniques that are being applied in finance and also different themes on which research is being conducted. There were hands on sessions where the participants were guided through some tools of analysis. We then decided to bring in one place some of the areas in which we have done some work and also the situations in different techniques of analysis could be applied. This book brings together some of our published and unpublished work. We hope that the reader will find the chapters, and the references, useful in their own research work.
