This is the area where the majority of studies of correlation between electrochemical parameters and biological activities were performed.Organic electrochemistry has been of increasing interest for industrial applications in recent years because the costs of electrochemistry have been rising more slowly than the costs of conventional chemical reagents and electrochemical procedures can be environmentally less intrusive than other chemical processes. In general, electrochemistry has been used in processes where bio-reduction or bio-oxidation is concerned.
