Pharmacology is a science which concerns with the study of the effects of biologically active substances on the animal system. It deals with the understanding of the preparation of various drugs and their application in diagnosis, prevention and mainly in the treatment and cure of diseases. The increase in the use of antibiotics in human and animal medicine has attracted much attention in recent years; to the interaction of such compounds with biometals as complexation reactions occurring in vivo are of obvious pharmaceutical importance. It is therefore necessary to develop sensitive trace analytical methods for the analysis of drugs as the research in this field is yet meager. Therefore this book helps in understanding the mechanistic aspects of some drugs in different supporting electrolytes.
