Electricity in the EU. The Guarantee of Origin According to Directive 2001/77/EC

Seminar paper from the year 2010 in the subject Energy Sciences, University of Cooperative Education Zagreb (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing), course: Electrical Power Engineering, language: Croatian, abstract: This final paper is presenting a system of Guarantee of origin according to directive 2001/77/EC, as well as improvement and upgrade of the Guarantee of origin as defined in Directive 2009/28/EC.

Given are the differences between the old and new definitions of Guarantees of origin. Also, implementation of Guarantees of origin in the EU is analyzed. Germany, Austria and the EU-12 countries are taken as examples, including Slovenia, as part of EU-12, which is more detail studied. The situation in Croatia is shown with project RELEEL which has made a proposal of implementation of Guarantees of origin in Croatia.
