Electrical appliance load monitoring and its applications

The load monitoring started to gain much interest among the researchers from the time the concept of Non-intrusive Load Monitoring was pioneered by J. W. Hart. Thereafter the load monitoring was classified in to two; Intrusive Load Monitoring (ILM) and Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM). This book provides the essential, comprehensive and background knowledge in ILM and NILM with their applications in energy management, especially home energy management and automation.
