ELE NYONYO GE (IT SHALL BE WELL)

ELE NYONYO GE literally translated in EWE West African language means ¿It Shall be well¿.Generally, we live in a world sometimes full of troubles and hardships. Everyone has his or her problems, that is not completely obvious and cannot be easily interpreted by others. In such situations, ELE NYONYO GE (It Shall be well) is frequently used as means of consolation and hope to the discouraged and saddened heart.¿ELE NYONYO GE¿ is a large musical work orchestrated for eight Western wind and Traditional African percussion instruments namely: Flute, Clarinet (Bb) Alto Saxophone (Eb), Trumpet (Bb), Flugal Horn (Bb), Tenor Horn (Bb), Baritone (Bb), Tuba (Eb), Gokogui, Axatse, Kagan, Kidi, Sogo, Toke I, Toke II, Pimba, Vuvi, Asivui, Donno and Vuga. European classical percussion can be adapted to the Traditional African percussion originally used. ¿ELE NYONYO GE¿ is one-movement work. The form is Free Fantasia which consists of a short pentatonic Overture, rhythm ¿Agbadzä, ¿Gabadä, and ¿Highlife¿ musical types developed for the orchestra.
