Effects of ZACAREP on Soybean Production in Zamfara State Nigeria

The Book Was Based on the Research Study Conducted by the Author on the Effects of Zamfara Comprehensive Agricultural Rovolution Programme on Soybean Production.The Study Provides Information on the Level of Production & Profitability of Soybean Farming in the Study Area.The Author Identified Motivational Factors that Led to Participation and Adoption Strategy used to Transfer Technologies to Soybean Farmers.Furthermore,the Study Determined the Level of Adoption of Information on Agricultural Technologies,Assessed and highlighted the Limitations and Constraints of the Programme.Profitability Analysis Showed that Significant Differences Were Found Between Various Categories of Farmers on their Gross Sales output Cost & Return of the Soybean Production Under the Programme.The Study established that Farm Size Increased the Likelihood of Participation.Similarly the Price of Soybean Increased the Likelihood of Participation.Findings of the Study revealed that the Adoption rating For Farmers was high in the use of Improved Seeds,Inter cropping,Spacing, Seed Treatment & Efficient Weed Management.
