Effects of M.incognita & P.lilacinus Function on Root Knot of Brinjal

The book has been written based on original research work. It focuses on the biological control of root knot nematode, biocontrol efficacy of bioagent and major constraints of brinjal production. The specific feature of this book is that, it is a comparative study. Two factors inoculum density of M. incognita and application rate of P. lilacinus have been chosen to determine the biocontrol efficacy of bioagent against different levels of root knot nematode. All the data have been collected from primary sources. This reveals that P. lilacinus is one of the most promising and practicable biocontrol agents for the management of plant parasite nematode. It has tried to calculate the biocontrol efficacy of P. lilacinus in both vegetative and root growth of brinjal which is contemporary step to calculate the biocontrol efficacy of bioagent on brinjal root knot as well as other solaneceous crops. This experiment was undertaken with the target to replace the use of chemical nematocide by the nematophagus fungus P. lilacinus. This book would be helpful for those researches interested in the field of biological and eco-friendly management of root knot nematode.
