Syabean is one of the fast growing item in the world trade.It contains 41% protein and 21% oil. Research on soyabean in Sudan began in the early 70,s with the intoduction of various varietes from U.S.A.Rhizobium japonicum was not deteced in Sudan soils. Inoculant was introduced from U.S.A. The objectives of this reseach are1/Too investigate the influence of inoculation on nodulation, nitrogen fixation of the soyabean plant and protein content of soyabean seed.2/To examine the effect of N and P fertilization on nodulation,N-fixation and soyabean yield. The results showed that1/The intoduced peat inoculant resluted in good nodulation and N-fixato 2/Significantly higher shoot dry matter, total N-uptake, 100 seed weight, seed yield and total crued protein were obtained from seed inoculation in comparison with uninoculated ones.
