Effects of Early Pregnancies and Marriages on Girl Child's Education

Many girls join nursery school and pre-unit. The number of girls who continue with school continues to reduce upwards up to University level. Girls who join University education are almost half the number of boys. Thus it is justifiable to say; early pregnancies and marriages hinder the girl child from pursuing her education to the highest level Curbing this problem of early pregnancies and marriages will empower a girl child since she will be able to pursue her education to the highest level possible without any stress and strain resulting from early motherhood. It is indeed a violation of human rights in general and of girl¿s rights in particular as it deprives her from freedom, opportunity for personal development, and other rights including health and wellbeing, education, and participation in civic life.
