Effects of Climate Change on Fishers

The modern world, with its different sectors having integrated together in terms of its revelations upon the environment and bio diversity, imparts much emphasis upon the different ranges of livelihood of human kind. The vulnerable groups who are marginalised from the main stream population are further affected by the increased vulnerability and susceptibility to the impacts that potentially harms the balance of the sustainable working of the system. These after effects may be economic, political, social, ecological or geographical in its varying senses. Fishing communities are one such groups of communities, which is susceptible to various socio-economic problems as well as threats to their surroundings and environmental balance. Apart from the backward living conditions, vicious circle of poverty and low education or health attainment, they suffers from competition in fishing, climate change issues and natural calamities.
