Effectiveness of Non-Governmental Organizations' Intervention

This book documents the effectiveness of NGOs¿ intervention on the empowerment of adolescent girls in Pader district, Northern Uganda with clear findings on; the effectiveness of project design on empowerment of adolescent girls, the effectiveness of project management on empowerment of adolescent girls, and the effectiveness of monitoring and evaluation on empowerment of adolescent girls in Pader District, Northern Uganda. In every developing country such as Uganda, the future of adolescent girls is a key concern because the adolescent girls we see today shall become mothers nurturing many other children and the future generations. Therefore, the quality of the future generations depends on the adolescent girls of today. Empowering adolescent girls today has a significant contribution in defining the future of the next generations.This study therefore focused mainly on investigating on the effectiveness of NGOs¿ interventions and empowerment of adolescent girls in Pader district. Presented in this book is information on the work of different NGOs in relation to what NGOs in Northern Uganda achieved and also why some NGOs failed to empower adolescent girls.
