Effectiveness of Brace Treatment for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis

There is no doubt that scoliosis is one of the main deformities of spine which influences the performance of the subjects during daily activities. Various treatment approaches have been used for the subjects with scoliosis to control the rate of scoliosis progression and to decrease its side-effects. Some examples of these treatment approaches are braces, physical therapy, Yoga and functional electrical stimulation. Regarding braces, Milwaukee, Boston, Rosenberger and Wilmington, Miami, Lyon, Triac and Cheneau have been used for these subjects. These braces may control curve progression and influence the natural history of the deformity.
