Demand of linseed is expected to increase due to the high rate of population growth. To fulfill the increasing linseed demand, production is limited to predominantly existing cultivated land. However, the present linseed production system with low productivity cannot satisfy the high consumer demand. There is urgent need to enhance production and productivity of linseed in Ethiopia.
