Effect of Rural Banditry on Crop Producers of IFAD - CASP Programme

The book embodies the entire Ph.D. thesis that lucidly explored the EFFECT OF RURAL BANDITRY ON PARTICIPATING CROP PRODUCERS OF the IFAD - CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTION AND AGRI- BUSINESS SUPPORT PROGRAMME IN ZAMFARA STATE, NIGERIA. The book critically explains frustration-aggression theory, theory of dialectical materialism, concepts of conflict, types of conflict, concepts, and effects of rural banditry, socioeconomic characteristics of IFAD-CASP Participants, issues that led to rural banditry, management initiatives and coping strategies for rural banditry and perception of IFAD-CASP Staff on the program during rural banditry situation. The book also made some valuable suggestions and recommendations that could improve the livelihood of crop farmers impacted by the devastating consequences of rural banditry Such as that the government and non-governmental organizations should see victims of rural banditry as people of hope and should not allow them to become destitute as a result of post banditry situation arising from the sale of the accumulated asset over the years. They should receive a conditional grant and other assistance to begin life again.
