Seeds of Terminalia mentalis(T.mantaly) were subjected to some pretreatment techniques aimed at enhancing germination.The pretreatments were: Boiled seeds,Nipped seeds,Cold water soaking,No pretreatment(CONTROL),and Sulphuric acid scarification(SAS).Nipping tended to enhance considerably the rate of germination of T.mantaly.It requires certain experience but apart from a pair of secateurs,no further input is required.
