Effect of Intensive Physiotherpay in Patients With TKR

It has been reported that increasing the intensity of physiotherapy either in terms of single session duration or in terms of increase treatment session frequency helps in reducing the hospital stay, improvement in reduction in pain, restoring normal knee function, regain the functional abilities and improvement in QOL. Most of these studies have tried to identify the effects of intensive treatment only after discharge from the hospital. Very few studies have reported about the intensive treatment immediately after surgery. The present study was planned to see the effects of intensive physiotherapy & compare it to routine physiotherapy given post TKR. It would be beneficial for all the therapist dealing with Total Knee Replacement Patients.
