Presence of smear layer reduces the interlocking mechanism between the filling material and dentin walls. Mechanical preparation of the root canal with saline irrigation could not eliminate microorganisms from the infected root canal system, so that, the use of satisfactory irrigation is mandatory to reduce bacteria and complete cleaning effect. For that reason, this study aimed to assess and compare the effect of Er:Cr:YSGG laser, Diode laser 940 nm, EndoActivator and XP-endo finisher on smear layer removal by SEM analysis. And also to measure and compare the effect of Er:Cr:YSGG laser, Diode laser 940 nm, EndoActivator, and XP-endo finisher on radicular dentin permeability.
