The objectives of mastering the discipline "Information systems in publishing" are - to form students' theoretical knowledge of modern information technologies, models, methods and means of solving functional tasks and organizing information processes, studying the organizational, functional and physical structure of basic information technologies and basic information processes, consideration of the prospects for the use of information technology in the transition to the information society. Private goals are teaching practical skills of working on personal computers using modern information technologies for computer processing of text, graphic and multimedia information and their subsequent use in publishing. The main task of studying the discipline is mastering the methods: - studying the organizational, functional and physical structure of information systems and information technologies, basic information processes in modern information systems used in publishing.
