Economy of Manipur Vision 2030 and Beyond

Prof. M. Iboton Singh, former Head of Department of Economics and Dean, School of Social Sciences, Manipur University has a pride of place among the few economists in North Eastern India. In most of his writing and contributions of large number of research papers/articles and his recently published book entitled ¿Develoment Perspectives: An Anthology of Essays¿ I found that he has broad spectrum of economic development and attempted for bringing about economic and social change in the economy of Manipur in particular and the country in general.He tries to bring about a faster rate of economic and social development in Manipur which is one of the least developed States of India within the framework of overall efforts of the country¿s Five Year Plans for achieving inclusive growth at an accelerated rate. The thirteen essays contributed in his recently published book provided food for my thought in writing of this book. In recognition of his outstanding Academic and Professional Achievements, the present book is brought out in honour of Prof. M. Iboton Singh.
