Economy and Health in Ecuador, a confirmed alignment

This document presents an analysis of the national and international economic environment and the health sector, with special attention to the problem generated by the presence of the Covid-19 virus in the economy of Ecuador. Inflation in Ecuador and the world, the difficulties present in the supply chain due to the paralysis and consequent fall in the demand for goods and services derived from the health emergency, and then after the reactivation of the economies, presenting an excess of demand, generating bottlenecks and shortages of inputs; and finally in February 2022, the outbreak of the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine, causing shortages of some products that the two countries are world producers, have caused price increases and economic destabilization worldwide.The development of new technologies has been present due to the presence of Covid-19. Companies are making a change in their planning and strategies to ensure medium and long term survival.
