Pineapple is one of the most important commercial crops in Tripura. Most of the production is locally consumed as a fresh fruit. However, there is a negative correlation with the growth of rubber plantation in the study area. Therefore, the increasing importance of pineapple to the economy demands a holistic approach to understand the economic conditions of the growers in the state. The present study is an effort to bring out a clear picture of the existing situation of pineapple growers. And, therefore, importance to planners and policy makers to design and popularize such a balanced policy that will be in line with the existing needs of the pineapple growers.
