Ecology of Population and Habitat Family Ardeidae

Ecology is a study of organisms at their home. Ecological study of an birds included various aspects like population, habitat selection, food and feeding, roosting and roosting behavior, breeding activities etc. out of the above in this book we discuss only two parameters i.e. population and habitat of the birds of family Ardeidae. In this book we try to cover all the aspect of population and habitat selection for various proposes. The term ¿heron¿ represents all the birds in the family Ardeidae, including ¿herons¿, ¿egrets¿ (the white herons) and ¿bitterns¿. There are large areas of neglect in the study of herons and consequently gaps in the data needed for the development of appropriate conservation strategies in the study area. Notwithstanding the gaps in our knowledge we know enough about ecology of heron species like population and habitat for the fulfillment of the above, this work is selected.
