Ecology of medicinal plants of Neeru watershed in North West Himalayas

The book is an outcome of my PhD thesis "Ecological studies and conservation of medicinal plants of Neeru watershed". The book comprises of a description of the medicinal flora and its ecology including diversity indices, species richness and biological spectrum. The edaphic characterization of the niches of medicinal plants is given and the appropriate zone for the cultivation of medicinal plants of NW Himalayas is also identified and discussed in the book. Abiotic and biotic components of the ecosystem are well discussed and the main threats to the medicinal plants are exposed. The pictorial portions of the book is a good field guide for the taxonomists, explorers and researchers. In general the book can be helpful in the routine class room study, research laboratory study and industry.
