The brain is an extremely complex bio-electric organ ever produced by nature. So, the author, with her limited knowledge and experience, selects heart, as her subject of interest because in author¿s opinion, heart is the relatively better understood bio-electric system and also heart disease is one of the most common cause of death all over the world. Electrocardiography is an effective non-invasive diagnostic technique, which is widely used by cardiologists. Beats extracted from ECG signals can be categorized in a range of classes corresponding to various diseases. The book is focused to detect those abnormalities by automatic processing of heart signal.
