Dye Sensitized Solar Cells Based on ZnO and TiO2 Nano-Architectures

Nanomaterials are at the leading edge of the swiftly development of nanotechnology. The reduction in size to nanometer scale intensely alters the chemical, physical, electrical, mechanical, optical and biological properties of materials and enhances their activity. The nanoparticles are widely used in various categories of household products, including electronic devices, solar cells, cosmetics, clothing, medicines, and water filter. With the advent of new technology, there is increasing need of human being in terms of solar energy as an alternative energy source. And in the solar cell output parameters are strongly influenced by interfacial nanostructures.The main emphasis of the book is to demonstrate the synthesis of hierarchical TiO2, ZnO and TiO2/ZnO nanostructures using simple and economical hydrothermal and aqueous chemical growth method. And comparision of DSSCs formed by TiO2, ZnO and TiO2/ZnO photoanodes. The overall book has been distributed in six Chapters.
