Dream Sharing and Shared Metaphors in a Short Term Community

Dream telepathy was demonstrated in the laboratory in the early 1970s. Is it real? Can ordinary people do it? Does it occur spontaneously in natural settings? Randall explored what factors in group dynamics brought people together with unusual harmony. At a conference on Shamanism at the Atlantic University, he noticed the role that dreams played in the community¿s cohesion. He explored what happens when people share their dreams. On one particularly interesting evening, the group conducted an experiment based upon Henry Reed¿s Dream Helper ceremony, and Robert Van De Castle¿s dream telepathy research. The group endeavored to reach one member¿s psyche and achieve group dreaming. Hence this became a field study under natural conditions of dream telepathy. Did it work? What actually happened? What did the group think happened? Is it really Dream Telepathy? Dream Healing? Shared mind or shared metaphor?
