Diversity of Endemic Genera of Asteraceae of the World

"Diversity of endemic genera of Asteraceae of World with special reference to Indiä is an important topic in Systematic Botany. The main emphasis of the book has given on distribution of endemic taxa of Asteraceae of different parts of the World as well as from India. In the present work bracts of 28 tribes of the family Asteraceae have been presented. On the basis of present studies 23 tribes contains endemic genera. Present study indicates that the five maximum number of endemic genera are found in the tribe Eupatorieae (104), Vernonieae (75), Senecioneae (70), Astereae (59), Polymnieae (56).This type of systematic study is a valuable tool for plant taxonomists. This book is neither a conventional text book nor for only examination purposes. It is a little effort to develop interest to the students of Botany and plant lovers, interested about the endemic plants for the family Asteraceae. This book will definitely serve as an excellent reference material and practical guide for scientist, teachers, students, and interested in Botany, Forestry, Agriculture science and other related fields of Botany, who are working with the family Asteraceae.
