DISCRETE NONLINEAR MODELING OF STRUCTURAL RESPONSE

In the present project an analysis of the nonlinear response of reinforced concrete elements reinforced with high strength steel (yield stress 5000 kg/cm2) is carried out, based on a computational model using finite element technology and using constitutive models that approximate the nonlinear response of the materials. The models are validated based on a comparison of the load-deformation curves obtained in laboratory tests and curves obtained as results of the computational numerical model. For this computational numerical analysis was used the program based on finite element technology, ANSYS Workbench 19.2 student version, which included code blocks in the ANSYS parametric design language, which defined the mechanical properties of each material and conditions of the surface of interaction between materials.The level of approximation obtained in the computational models generated in this work leaves open the possibility of continuing the study of the mechanical behavior of structural elements built with high strength reinforcing steel that begins to be manufactured in Ecuador.
