Digital Motivation

Adapted from a master's thesis, this book combines two relevant issues with learning technology. By piloting a program with unemployed youth, the author designs, implements and follows an educational program to assess whether open and massive online course learning and qualifications affect job search behavior. Young people. Located in the Central Business District of Durban - a seaside town on the east coast of South Africa, the program is designed and implemented in a Christian Youth Center - the Young Christian Christian Association - a program within the unemployed learners take a course of their choice. The ALISON platform has been deployed. At the end of this course, follow-up assessments were conducted with program participants to assess the effectiveness of online courses and the program as a whole. Conducted as part of the requirements for a Master's degree in Population Studies (at the University of KwaZulu-Natal), this study serves as a guide for the use and reception by the learner of the content in a developing country setting.
