Digital mobile devices have proven to be powerful tools in the university, increasing connectivity and ability to enable students¿ research on their classwork. There are some perceived negatives as the devices can be complex and distracting to the students. University students are embracing the latest digital technology developments and following the business world by being continuously connected via their mobile devices. They already know how to handle multiple tasks, shifting focus from instant messaging, to music, to social networking, to live conversation and to the work at hand; in other words they are growing up in an environment that demands they multi-task as part of not only their work life but as part of their daily routines
