Dictionary of Translation Terms (English-English-Arabic)

This preface was written by Prof. M. Fraghal of Kuwait University. Who would benefit from this publication? I would respond by saying everyone interested in translation as a practical as well as an academic field. The present publication is meant to be a reference rather than an ordinary book. One would find it very helpful when encountering difficulty in comprehending terms that are usually mentioned in passing most recent publications, whose authors usually assume that the reader is familiar with them, which is not always the case. By using this dictionary, the reader can easily look up such terms and get a useful idea of what they stand for. The alphabetical order of the entries makes this dictionary very accessible and the professional referencing of each term adds to its credibility. The Arabic component can function as a micro technical translation exercise for each term, as well as a great helper for those who are not proficient enough in English.
