This study investigates the seasonality which existed in emerging countries of Brazil, Russia, India, China (BRIC) and a comparison with a developed country called United States of America (U.S.A) Stock market. The study used the daily returns of five stock indices which are major indices in BRIC and U.S.A stock market for the period from April 2010 to March 2015, for the analysis. The present study reveals the day of the week and lunar effect of BRIC stock market and U.S stock market. The understanding of seasonal trend pattern in stock market would be useful for the investors to take investment decisions and also for developing their investment strategies appropriately.
