Development of renewable energy sources in the Republic of Belarus

Today, the problem of limited traditionalenergysources such asoil, coal, natural gas has becomeaglobalone.The states strive to move away from the use of non-renewableresources and focus on the development of alternative sources.The Republic of Belarus is no exception. The country does not possesssufficient energy resources, which makes it energydependent on external sources. Another peculiarityisthatpractically 100% of all energy produced in Belarus is provided by thermalpower plants (TPP), which operate on imported fuel. In order toincrease the level of energy security of the country, the development of the modernenergy sector has acquired the trend of wide construction of renewableenergy sources (RES) to generate clean energy.
