Development of Regional policy in Bulgaria

In the ongoing transition to a market economy, economic, social and regional structures in Bulgaria underwent significant changes, resulting in differences in employment, income and quality of life in different territorial units have increased. After the country's accession to the EU regional policy of Bulgaria is aligned with that of the European Union (EU), known as the cohesion policy or cohesion.
