Development of Covid-19 Vaccines across the World

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease causes by severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-CoV-2). COVID-19 vaccines have been widely credited with reducing the severity and fatality rates associated with COVID-19. COVID-19 vaccine development has encountered a series of unique challenges. Due to the necessity of developing a COVID-19 vaccine, compressed timelines were used to abbreviate the standard vaccine development timeframe, also a variety of unfounded conspiracy theories and other misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines has been there. Thus, through this book we highlighted the process of development of COVID-19 vaccines, about different types of platforms to develop COVID-19 vaccines, about the safety and efficacy of emergency use authorized COVID-19 vaccines by WHO and various strategies applied by government to increase vaccination.
