Development of Agricultural Social Enterprise in the Mekong Delta SEs

The agricultural Social enterprises in the Mekong Delta had established for a long time, their predecessors were the form of mutual assistance among agricultural producers together in the cultivation, harvesting by linking some neighboring households. They were developed and managed by the State through agricultural cooperatives in the period (1978 ¿ 1986). After the innovation, they were known known as cooperatives and cooperative groups of agricultural production. They play an important role in the production and consumption of agricultural commodities for households. Although social enterprises were defined in the tenth of Article of the Enterprise Law in 2014, they have exist under the legal form as cooperatives, cooperative groups or center ... and the Social enterprises have been attracting the attention of researchers and civil society organizations in foreign and domestic country. To date, there have been initial research on social enterprises in Vietnam but there have no studies on the agricultural social enterprises in the Mekong Delta
