Development and Effectiveness of CAI

This book focuses upon developing a computer assisted instructional programme and finding its effectiveness. 197 frames with all the grammar of programmed instruction have been constructed. The validity of the programme has been found out. After this, the programme has put in the form of computer assisted instruction. The programme has been built using ¿Visual Basic version 6¿. The medium of instruction for the sample is Tamil. So, the programme was also set in the language ¿Tamil¿. Since many students may not know Tamil type writing, the full programme itself is ¿Mouse Driven¿. Pleasant colors were used in the programme so that the students may easily browse through it. Since computer assisted instruction was written in linear programming, programme has an inbuilt assessment for the sample. After experimentation, the computer assisted instructional programme has found to be valid.
