Developing an Undergraduates' Spatial Information Tracking System

Nowadays, most of the education institutes are having Management Information Systems (MIS) to manage attribute data of students. But, none of the systems are having a mechanism to manage spatial data such as home locations of students which can be used for decision support in any education institute. Also, the spatial data source can be used for future research studies as well. The book is focused on developing a spatial information tracking system which can track student home locations across the country based on the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka as a case study. Geographic locations of students are updated through MIS of the institute and then mapped on GIS platform using Web GIS Technologies.This book is more useful for students and researchers in the field of Geoinformatics.
