Determining the Level of Awareness on Energy Efficiency in Buildings

The construction sector is one of the sectors that harm the environment the most, just like the mining sector. In order to prevent this damage, changes must be made, and studies in the world are examples of these. The best example of this in Turkey is the Energy Performance Regulation in Buildings and the Energy Identity Document introduced with this regulation. The document contains information such as energy consumption class of buildings, carbon dioxide emission and it has been specified by the regulation as of 01.01.2020.The importance of the energy identity certificate is obvious, and the study aimed to measure the level of awareness of individuals on this issue. In this study, a questionnaire was conducted face-to-face with individuals residing in Adana on awareness of similar issues such as green buildings, energy efficiency, and renewable energy, especially the energy identity certificate. The results of the survey were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and WEKA programs, and the reliability was measured with the help of the SPSS program. In the analysis, association rule mining, which is one of the data mining methods, was used.
